My woodworking started out as a hobby way back in 2007. I tried to make small furniture and boxes but unfortunately I couldn’t cut a straight line two times in a row, so I tried my hand at wood burning. In 2008, instead of buying a going-away plaque for one of my officers I decided to wood burn a customized plaque. Apparently that was the ticket.
I invested in a scroll saw and started giving my work some shape. Over the years word of mouth spread and I became extremely busy and the rest is history. I dedicate my work to the hard working and life-risking men and women of law enforcement, firefighting, public safety and military. I’ve made over 700 pieces of work, some of which have brought tears-that’s what keeps me going! The knowledge and skills that I transfer on to my boys along with the plaques that I’ve made that adorn office and cubicle walls, police substations, and man caves will be my true Legacy.
